This new program immerses us in an inner dance, between popular tradition and contemporary abstraction, where rhythm becomes organic tension. It creates a dialogue between two worlds: Astor Piazzolla's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires in a new rewriting for the Quartet, alongside Twisted Tango I, III, IV, an original creation by composer David Hudry for the Adastra Quartet.

Inspired by specific Argentine tango techniques applied to string instruments, David Hudry develops a vibrant musical language, where tango melodies and rhythms are deconstructed, reinterpreted, and recomposed. Musical gesture, rhythmic tension, and bodily energy are at the heart of a demanding contemporary style of writing, designed for both the stage and transmission.

Where appropriate, the project includes an educational component aimed at string instrument students. The educational piece Twisted Tango III for string orchestra, intended for young performers, is designed as a bridge between the worlds of tango and contemporary creation. It thus has a dual dynamic: concertante and educational, traditional and innovative.

A program firmly rooted in today's creative scene, at the crossroads of art, science, and the senses.
